Because the Festival of Lights at Romantic Moon is an outdoor Minnesota winter event, snow and changing ground conditions can affect accessibility. Walking paths are plowed and maintained throughout the Festival.
Visitors with specific accessibility concerns are encouraged to call Romantic Moon Events Center before visiting at 218-233-3025, and we will do our best to help.
Horse-drawn rides require guests to navigate two small steps, so those rides may be difficult for someone who cannot stand or transfer.
Yes. The Event Center is heated and provides guests with a place to warm up during their visit.
Restrooms are also located inside the Event Center.
Most of the Festival of Lights is outdoors, so we strongly recommend dressing for Minnesota winter weather, including warm coats, hats, gloves, boots, and layers.
The Festival may close during extreme cold, dangerous wind chills, heavy snow, ice, or other unsafe weather conditions.
Walking paths are cleared of snow, and ice melt is used when needed. However, winter conditions can change quickly, so guests should still use caution while walking.
Any weather-related closures, delayed openings, or schedule changes will be posted on the Romantic Moon Events Center website and Facebook page.
For the safety and comfort of our guests and animals, pets are not permitted at the Festival of Lights at Romantic Moon. Service animals are welcome.
Children should be supervised at all times, and guests should stay on marked walking paths.
Please do not climb on light displays or decorations unless an attraction is specifically designed for guests to sit, stand, or pose on.
The Buffalo River and railroad track areas are off limits, including during winter when the river may appear frozen.
Smoking and vaping are permitted only in the designated area near the Blue Barn. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
